Toni Thompson President/Owner of Time 4 Drama holds a Bachelors Degree in Speech & Theatre. She has performed professionally in musical theatre and is also active in community theatre. Toni has a passion for enriching children’s lives.
Time 4 Drama classes are designed to promote a variety of skills:
*Confidence- Standing & sitting tall individually or in a group can be a challenge. Time 4 Drama helps promote positive thinking so that the children who participate in the program can stand tall and be proud in any situation.
*Self Esteem- Public speaking and making friends is intimidating for young and old alike. Time 4 Drama encourages these skills in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Children are able to progress at their own pace and are never pushed beyond their individual comfort level.
*Speech- Young people are always learning new words and sounds. This requires good diction. Time 4 Drama uses techniques to help loosen and open the vocal area which includes the vocal chords. People are amazed how many sounds they can produce.
*Education- Time 4 Drama classes all have an educational component that can be tailored around each class’s academic curriculum and school philosophy. Time 4 Drama classes for older children may also include script writing and set/costume design.
*Physical Activity- Classes are taught in an active environment that promotes movement and physical activity. As with any physical activity warming up both the mind and body is an integral part of Time 4 Drama program.
*Fun!! Last, but certainly not least, Time 4 Drama classes are designed to be fun & safe.
